Strength Thru Oi!

History: Originally Released By Decca in 1980. Re-released (Bootleggged?) on Pure Impact

Info:
The second in the series, and the rarest to find in its original LP form as it was pulled off the shelves soon after its release. Maybe it was due to the revalation that cover boy Nicky Crane was discovered to be a member of the National Front and his nationalist tattoos were airbrushed off for the final product. I also heard that this LP was released around the time of the famous Southall riot (Any historians out there to correct me?). Now on to the contents. My biggest beef with this album is the ratio of spoken word tracks (3 By Garry Johnson, 2 by Barney Rubble and a chanting chorus by The Shaven Heads.) You know the old saying "Less talk, More Rock." My CD copy just reeks of being a bootleg (No address , no acknowledgement of it originally appearing on Decca)

Featured Artists: Garry Johnson, 4-Skins, The Strike, Infa Riot, Last Resort, Criminal Class, Toy Dolls, Barney Rubble, Cock Sparrer, Splodge, The Shaven Heads

Best Tracks 4 Skins - "1984" & "Sorry"/ The Strike - "Gang Warfare" & "Skinhead"/ Infa Riot - "Riot Riot" & "We Outnumber You"/ Last Resort - "Working Class Kids" & "Johnny Barden"/ Toy Dolls - "She Goes To Fino's" & "Deidre's a Slag"/ Cock Sparrer - "Taken For A Ride" & "Running Riot"/ Splodge - "We're Pathetique"/

Carry On Oi!

History:Originally Released in 1981 By Secret Records. Currently licensed to Step-1, Get Back, and Captain Oi.

Info:
The third in the series. I think this one was the biggest seller of the series. I'm glad that there's only 3 spoken word tracks to 16 fucking smoking punk/Oi! tracks. ALL the music tracks on this album have been staples for almost every one of Oi's greatest hits type compilations. Personally this one is my favorite of all the 6 "Oi!" compilation albums.

Featured Artists: Garry Johnson, JJ All Stars, The Business, Infa Riot, The Partisans, The Ejected, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, Blitz, Last Resort, The Gonads, 4 Skins, Red Alert, Oi! The Comrade, Oi! The Chorus

Best Tracks: JJ All Stars - "Dambusters March"/ The Business - "Suburban Rebels" & "Product"/ Infa Riot - "Each Dawn I Die"/ Partisans - "Arms Race" & "No U Turns"/ The Ejected - "East End Kids" & "What Am I Gonna Do?"/ Peter & The Test Tube Babies - "Transvestite" & "Maniac"/ Blitz - "Nation On fire" & "Youth"/ Last Resort "King Of The Jungle"/ Gonads - "Tuckers Ruckers Ain't No Suckers"/ 4 Skins - "Evil"/ Red Alert - "SPG"
